The fifth in a series of early screencaps for my visual novel, Hearts Under Blades.
The dialogue choices in the game allow for a wide variety of attitudes, so you can truly play the character as your own. You can be friendly, humble, rude, or arrogant, and your choices will affect the way others react to you. The shot above illustrates Shouka played as a good-natured but obnoxious braggart, which earns no points with the straightforward and fierce Kyoko.
that armor is well polished, so, if we play the game, do we have to use that guy for everything?, it's okay i guess, i'd like some choices (other than dialogue, maybe a customizable main character?, kidding kidding, that takes ages to program). but visual novels just have one by default
Thanks! I've mentioned it in a few posts, but we do also have a female version of the main character planned. There will be differences in your playthrough depending on which you choose, mainly in your relationship options, though most of it will be subtle at the beginning of the game. For the demo, we're concentrating on getting the male playthrough finished first and then we will go back and add the female version. Unfortunately, there will be no way to customize the character's look other than choosing male/female, because I have my hands full with the art already! ^_^;
I think the font might be too small, but other than that, it looks amazing.
This game looks sooooooooooo good!
