Hindu Belldandy - Lineart

Since the original Goddesses were based on the Norns of Norse mythology. I thought it would be cool to draw them as their counterparts in other mythologies, such as Greek, Egyptian, Russian, etc... this one is Hindu, if you couldn't tell. ^_~

I had almost forgotten about this piece until someone commented on [link] . This was drawn and inked around the same time, almost three years ago. I based her on a particular Hindu goddess, but I can no longer remember which one. Maybe it was Lakshmi? I'm not sure. I also had versions of Urd and Skuld, but unfortunately they were never scanned, and I have *no* idea where the originals are after moving across the country.

Anyway, I totally forgot just how much *detail* I packed into this piece! All the pearls and jewelry and tassels... I love this drawing for the sheer level of intricacy, and also for the elegance I was able to give her.
