So, now that Codename: Sailor V is done, we're hard at work on the next project: Sailor Moon S! To make our lives easier, we wanted to have our cinematics work a lot like the dialogue scenes in new RPGs (like Persona 4 and Mana Khemia), where there are detailed portraits of the main characters in varying facial expressions... and I'm in charge of those portraits!

I wanted to try out a new technique, which I learned via this tutorial: [link] by *redheadstock. It allows me to use my original sketches to create a detailed sprite completely from scratch! And here's the proof: Sailor Moon from sketch to finished sprite.

I'm really excited that Sailor Moon S is going to include highly detailed all-original art like this! It's a huge step forward in making a quality game.
